This template should be used instead of {{Infobox settlement}} in articles about Italian comuni. It should not be used for a subdivision of a comune, such as a frazione, quartiere, circoscrizione, località, terziere, sestiere, contrada, or historical location that was never a comune. These other divisions can use {{Frazione}} or the more general Infobox settlement.
